Right Worshipful Harold E. McKenney, Jr.
R.W.
Brother McKenney was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on February
17, 1956. He commenced going through the chairs in 1965 and served as
Master of his lodge in 1977. He served the Grand Lodge as Grand Pursuivant
under Most Worshipful Harlan Small. R.W. Brother McKenney is a member
of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in the Valley of Bangor, Maine Consistory
and a member of Anah Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. . He served as Sovereign Prince
of the Palestine Council Princes of Jerusalem, Valley of Bangor during
1981 - 1982 and has participated in several of the degrees and vignettes.
R.W. Bro. McKenney was greeted as an Honorary 33rd Degree of the Scottish
Rite at the Supreme Council at Boston, Massachusetts on September 26,
1984. R.W. Brother McKenney is a Past Patron of Tuscan Chapter #148 of
Bangor, Maine and currently serves as Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge
of Maine.
R.W. Brother McKenney was born in Mount Kisko, New York. He attended schools in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Bangor High School in 1952. He graduated from Husson College in 1957 with a B.S. Degree in Accounting and served nine years in the Maine and Connecticut Army National Guard. He is married to the former Filena M. Lloyd of Smyrna Mills. He has a son, two daughters and three grand- children.
R.W. Brother McKenney practiced public accounting for 17 years with the firms of Seward & Monde of New Haven, Connecticut and Donahue, Haverlock, & Ronan in Bangor, Maine before entering into banking for 20 years with Northeast Bankshares Association, now Fleet Bank, retiring as Vice President and Audit Manager.
R.W. Brother McKenney is a member of School Street United Methodist Church where he has served as Chairman of the Pastoral Parish Relations Committee, Board of Trustees, Capital Improvements Treasurer, member of the Building Committee and is Trust Investment Coordinator and member of the Finance Committee..
R.W. Brother McKenney has served as Board Member, Treasurer, and President of Pine Tree Squares, EDSARDA, (Eastern District Square & Round Dance Association) and Mix & Mingle Square Dance Clubs, past Treasurer of the Westbrook Senior Citizens of which he is currently its President..
