R.W. BRO. W. LOUIS GREENIER II
AS A WORTHY CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF
DEPUTY GRAND MASTER
of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Maine, at the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge, to be held at Ellsworth, Maine on May 6, 2008.
R.W. Brother Greenier was raised in Caribou Lodge No. 170 in Caribou on November 2, 1967. He served as Worshipful Master in 1972 and again in 2003, also serving the lodge in many capacities including Trustee and President of the Masonic Association of Caribou from 1983 to present, member and Past President of the Masters and Wardens Association of the First Masonic District.
Bro. Greenier was appointed District Deputy Grand Master of the First Masonic District by M.W. Bro. Peter C. Schmidt from 1984-1986; served as District Representative under M.W. Bro. Ernest H. Curtis from 1986-1988; Assistant Grand Lecturer 1988-1993 serving under M.W. Bro. John E. Anagnostis and M.W. Bro. Robert V. Damon. He was appointed Grand Lecturer by M.W. Bro. George P. Pulkkinen in 1993, serving until 1999 under M.W. Bro. Harland S. Hitchings, M.W. Bro. Walter M. Macdougall and M.W. Bro. Brian A. Paradis. On May 4, 1994, he was awarded the Josiah Hayden Drummond Distinguished Service Medal by M.W. Bro. George P. Pulkkinen. Louis was elected Senior Grand Warden on May 4, 1999, and actively served the Grand Lodge of Maine in that capacity. He currently is serving as a Assistant Grand Chaplain.
Louis is a member of both the York and Scottish Rite Bodies. In York Rite Masonry Brother Greenier is a member and officer in Garfield Chapter No. 48 RAM Caribou, Aroostook Council No. 16 Presque Isle, and St. Aldemar Commandery No. 17 Houlton. His Scottish Rite membership and activities include Eastern Star Lodge of Perfection, Palestine Council Princes of Jerusalem (Past Sovereign Prince), Bangor Chapter of Rose Croix all in Bangor; and Maine Consistory in Portland and presently is Second Lieutenant Commander. He received his 33rd Degree September 23, 1997 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Also, he is a member of Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor.
His non-Masonic activities include Trustee of the Caribou Utilities District (Past President) and Director of the Fish River Lakes Water Quality Association (current Treasurer). He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp and is a Vietnam veteran Louis is a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church of Caribou, currently serving on the Board of Trustees.
On May 25, 1968, he married the former Judith Ann Sutherland. They have two sons, Adam David and Aaron Louis, who both reside in Colorado.
Brother Greenier has been a dedicated Mason for 40 years. We are confident he will be an enthusiastic and capable Deputy Grand Master, and we earnestly solicit and would appreciate your support.
